    Good Crawfish Locations

Looking to take the littles out crawfishing. Anyone have any tips on good locations up I80 from Auburn to the Kingvale area?

Under Rainbow Bridge in Folsom... Not what you were looking for, but that's a good area. A net, 5gal bucket, string and hot dog or raw chicken scraps.

Thanks! Yeah mainly just looking for some locations that folks recommended for known areas to pull a decent amount of crawfish from. Was hoping to find a spot up 80 but will hit up rainbow bridge as an alternative.

      Thanks again!

Thanks. Rice fields aren?t as much fun for the kids as the ponds and rivers are though so I?ll probably try to stick to the prior recommendation.

rotten chicken, hot dogs. I made a bunch of 1/2" mesh traps. Remember fishing license. Canals are okay as well.

The fat on Bacon works real well.

Friends of mine have done well in the past at Stumpy Meadows. One time they took their SCUBA gear and were getting tons of them.

I've done rice fields when they were draining them; got tons of crawdads. But I wonder how much fertilizer and chemicals are in that water...

Thanks for the suggestions. Agreed on the rice fields and don?t think the kids would have as much fun.
Haven?t been to stumpy meadows in a couple years maybe this will be a reason to go.
