    Shout out to Fenwick

Fishing Calico last week, I had a fish kelp me. Instead of pointing the rod at the snag and driving away, I gorilla yanked up and my Fenwick HMG graphite rod snapped in two. Their website said that series was guaranteed for life. Just send them a photos of the break, a brief story how it happened and a copy of the receipt. Bought it 10 years ago, so no receipt. Figured I was screwed, but did it anyway. Well , today I got an email from them asking if a new HMG would be acceptable. Hell yeah. Their parent company is pure fishing. Great customer service and great rods. Just be sure the model you buy has the lifetime. Not all their rods have it. PSA for my fishing friends.

I still have a Fenwick fly rod I bought when I was 15. I'm now in my 60's and need to have it replaced as the sealer/finish has all flaked off. It does have a lifetime warranty. I'll have to give it a try like you did. Thanks for the info!

Still have/use my Fenwick Ultra-Lite I've had for years. Great rod.

Good to hear. I bought a used Fenwick rod years ago; it was my first ever dedicated Calico rod. I loved the action on that rod. My Son broke it in a not so glorious fashion. Your story on the great customer service has me putting them on my list of future rods.
