Anyone else getting all the freak out talk from their duck hunting buddies that there's going to be no water this year? Our club is in Los Banos and the owner swears that we'll always get water. Last year we got filled at the beginning of the season and that was the only water we got all year. Luckily we didn't lose much. This year I'm getting lots of doom and gloom that we're not getting water "through the grapevine". I've still got my fingers crossed we're still going to have a season as we're planning on building a new pit blind. I know a lot of places up north didn't plant anything this year because they didn't get any water. What are the rumors going around at your club right now regarding water? Sounds like the bay might be pretty good hunting this year if there's no water anywhere else.

Water woes
sigpicLord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

In California, wildlife will always get an allocation of water. How much you will get is yet to be determined. In addition, it depends on what water disctrict your club is in. The Grasslands Water District will announce their allocations soon. When your club takes the water is up to the club. Some take it early and gamble rains will come early enough to hold them through the season. Others wait until December to take their allocations to hit the peak migration. This year will likely be a reduced allocation, as reservoir levels are all lower than historical averages. -

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.ProShooter's
