Been working part-time at a hunting/guns/fishing/tackle shop for about a month now. Yesterday a customer pointed out a new regulation that was in the 2018-19 Freshwater Fishing Regulations. It reads as follows:
(This can be found on Pg. 12 under Chapter 2: Statewide Regulations for Fishing in Inland Waters)

This regulation has everyone in the shop baffled, even the guys who have been fishing for 40+ years. It would seem to suggest that if you're fishing in anadromous waters, doing so with a weight of any kind attached, there must be at least 6 feet of line/leader between the weight and the terminal end of the hook/bait or lure.
.... Doesn't this make a great many fishing techniques illegal in anadromous waters or am I missing something here?
Thank in advance for your help, CGN anglers.
