    Wolf Tracks in X2

It should come as no surprise but I saw my first wolfs tracks while scouting yesterday. You can easily fit 4 coyote tracks into these wolf tracks.

At first I thought they may be from someone's 140 pound dog but when I saw more tracks a few miles away on a secondary road that had not been used for years I knew they were wolves.

I have yet to setup any trail cameras in X2 but this area will get one on my next visit.

Regardless of what those tracks may bode for California; that is a pretty cool find.

I saw a wolf for the first time in the Nevada Snowstorm Mountains last November while Elk hunting, could not believe how big the animal was, and now I understand why they can take a 500 lb Elk down, it was huge.

I'm taking 4 cameras out in a day or two.

A guy I work with hunts the Idaho/Montana border for elk (archery) about every year. Last year he was setup in some timber along a trail doing some cow calling when he got that something isn't right feeling. He turned around and saw what he thought was a large black rock thing right along the ground. He watched it for a few seconds and then a wolf jumped up on the rock behind the black ball. The black ball was a wolf that was crouched down about 60 yards away. He also said he couldn't believe how big it was.
