Wader shrinkage? What the heck??

Starting to gear up for my Alaska trip in the fall. Waders have been hanging in the garage since last year.

Tried them on today. The damn things shrunk just hanging there

This is why they say" do not fart in a submarine", same goes for waders and i'm not sure what is more dangerous.
