The way to get a tag in Nevada is to go through an outfitter. The first deer tags that are drawn are for hunts arranged with outfitters. Of course you're going to spend some money on that option but the odds are decent - 1 in 3. I was drawn twice in two years. Now I've been skunked twice going that route.

I drew nothing there also. Oh well it will add to my points for next year anyways. I am supposed to draw Colorado this year but with the change in their application system I'm not so sure. I guess I'll find out soon enough.Comment

Nevada uses bonus points right? So your odds are pretty dismal until you've got quite a few points in your pocket. I started putting in this year but I don't expect anything for years.Comment

Out of 8 NR guys I know one that drew a muzzleloader tag, with no points for CA looks like D4-5 for me, which is ok....Comment

I did the math a week or two before their draw deadline, and the cost you're going to spend before you draw anything is extraordinary. Sucks, I'd love to hunt deer and elk and prongy and everything else there every third year or so.Comment

Drew a 101-109 early rifle deer tag. 4th time drawing unit 10 in 8 years. Should be fun time again.
