noob questions about pig and coyote hunting.

I'm looking into hunting pig and coyote and am wondering if there are resources for A. finding locations for hunting. B. finding guides for said hunts. Other than scouring aimlessly through the interwebs that is?...

I'm hoping to find something that won't break the bank... or am I just fooling myself with that idea?

Eventually I'd like to work my way into deer hunting, but I figure getting time under my belt learning some basic hunting skills will help me with that endeavor.

Need a guide for pigs. No pigs on pivlic land and need a guide for their access to private land.

There are deer in Wrightwood. Not many, bit they are there. Start hiking.

I went on a pig hunt last year. Me and two friends hired a guide who had access to private property. Low price. Got 2 pigs and my friend missed his pig (standing shot with no sticks).

I have access to private property for coyotes but have yet to get one. I’ve seen them but not at close enough distances to get a shot.

Find a good guide for the pigs. When you go, ask about hunting coyotes - they know what’s around in the area.

Get your rifle sighted in and then practice shooting from sticks, sitting and laying down.

Guides run from 600 to 1200 bucks for hogs. Did you type hog hunting into search on here? Or hog hunting guides?

Several up near Paso Robles some farther north. We hunted ranch near Parkfield since 1982. It was always self guided. Bitterwater outfitters has a good rep also Shay can refer you. He has Bigboarstoppers but he got injured when attacked by vicious squirrel. (LOL) Hope he is ok soon I am not getting any younger.

I concur with what others have previously stated. As it pertains to pig, you will need to hire the services of a guide and most of the successful services are offered in the central coast. For coyote, I would scout the areas you desire to eventually deer hunt in and go after them there. This will provide you experience in a deer zone, learning the terrain and maybe even seeing deer or signs of deer as well.
