    Outfitter review socalguidedhunts

Hi, looking for any feedback on socalguudedhunts .com, run by Bryan Keenan.

Any reviews or feedback would be appreciated. Any other guide recommendations appreciated too. Looking to do deer hunt, first time. Dont need a trophy hunt, just want to get into the field. Thanks!

I did a Google search and didn't see a whole lot of deer action in state with them.

If you are looking for in-state guided deer hunting, be prepared to pay a few thousand dollars.

Yeah, no kidding! Hard to find info on outfitters, there's no Yelp for hunting. I like that this guide service is fairly bare bones, they help find the animal and process it, you aren't paying for a lodge house and turn down service and food and so on. I'm fine camping out of my truck for a couple nights, I jut need someone to show me the ropes and give me a better shot at getting a shot.

      Thanks for helping out

OK just my $.02 after reviewing their website and having no first hand experience with this guide service......

I was surprised there was not a trophy gallery showing their successful hunts. All guide services want to show off their success it's the best form of advertising. I went over to their Facebook page and still didn't see a lot of photos.

I would certainly not plunk down a deposit without speaking to some of their former clients successful and unsuccessful. You'll also want to have a discussion with Bryan Keenan about exactly what the hunt entails, are you hunting private land or public, has the area been scouted, what are the success rates, how far is average shot, are you hiking or what type of transportation and believe it or not are you licensed, bonded and insured? Good Luck!

I'm not saying don't use them or trying to trash them, you need to conduct your due diligence same as you would with any guide service.

You'll save time and money as well as having a far better luck out of state on a guided hunt. Only down fall is drive time or air fair.

The only socal hunt on his YouTube was a canned pig "hunt" at bighorn canyon ranch. Looks like it's a startup guide service. if u go hunt with him please post review.
