Where to go for purchasing my license?

So I finished my course and got my card to be able to purchase my hunting license but I've read that as of the 1st of the year you can no longer go in( wherever you can go to purchase one) with cash to purchase your license. Maybe I'm just not clicking he right link or something but I have yet to find online where I can pay for my license. I kind of was hoping to be able to walk into a place and get one on the spot but I'm not sure if that's how it works or what lol. If anyone could me some info would on where I can go to get it or if I'm stuck trying to purchase it online please let me know. Thanks a ton guys and gals.

I would have said sports chalet, but now I go to big 5. Walk in with a photo ID and and $50.
Do you plan to call yotes? If so make sure you buy a bobcat tag, $3.00
are you going after big game? What zone/s do you plan to take your armed hike in?

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

Ok cool. I wasn't sure where were the places that were able to sell them. The only place I saw online was the actual fish and game office that is only open from 8-4 during the week and I work 7-430 lol. Thank you guys for the info.

Racinjason- just getting started and figured I'd just start out small game. Going out for like cottontail and jack til I get more comfortable and accurate with my 30/30. So for now just my marlin 795 and small game.

Just buy it online. Then you can print a temp license and they will mail you the fancy waterproof one.

The DFG themselves are no longer accepting cash, just in case you stop into one of their offices to make a purchase.

I buy all my CA licenses and tags online. Website is than perfect, but not too bad to navigate.

Any license vendor will accept cash. Just not at dfw offices. Where did that fud come from. You go into big 5 or any office first time then you do not need HUNTER SAFETY card thereafter you get a go ID and your drivers license works after thaT oR ONLINE EXCEPT FOR SOME PERMITS LIKE MULTI DAY.

first time is the key word, after that yes nearly everyone orders online soon enough to not care about printing a temp license and then waits for the mail man to arrive 7-10 days later.

congrats, on passing the online and classroom portion of the hunters safety! only one more test to pass and that is the hard one. Get out there and make yourself the most awesome dinner you will ever have! Eating your first kill will mean you passed the final test...

In any hunting friendly town you can get em at the town store, liquor store, or hardware store.
