    Saturday - afternoon roosters, bottom one had ~23" tail


    Sunday - buddy and I shot almost two limits of ducks then I headed after some chickens...


    Monday - he got tired and needed a ride home

    It was a 1 and done sort of morning
    Nice redheds. We hardly ever see redheads. I can only recall seeing one shot by our hunting party and that was when I was 7 or 8 years old. Not very common in CA, at least not in the Sac valley.

    Mature forked horn shot in the D13 zone. Took it with my browning 300WSM at 50yds. Had to quarter and pack it out, the quarters at the butcher weighed in at 78lbs (78lbs of meat+40lbs of pack and rifle= one hell of a hike out) not the biggest but deffinantly the hardest to get out!!
