    Puppy? Check with breeder

If it's a pup feed a good quality puppy food for at least 6 months. I like merrick if you have the money......in my last litter I tried Costco puppy and didn't see a difference.

      Purina proplan,
it's what the breeder feeds & vet said it was "good food" .

Boiled chicken (deboned) with rice, green beans and a couple tomato quarters.

My Brittany is weird - he likes grapes and ice in his water dish too.

I fed my vizsla iams before. I just switched him to high protien, higher fat food for the hunting season for more energy and endurance. Its Wellness complete puppy. I talked to breeder before the switch and he runs his on a puppy food also. Had the wife (vet field 20 years) look at ingredients of quite a few and desided on that one. Its kinda pricey but good food.

I wouldn't give grapes to my brittany.

Taste of the wild. My boy began losing his hair from a merrick brand high protein food. Taste of the wild is excellent no grain food. Resulting in an ultra soft and shiney coat . Grapes are toxic to dogs ...

Me too. I have a 67 lb "high roller" Lab that runs and swims every day. It works well for him.

This is always like ford or GMC......

                            So who free feeds?
I free feed at home, out hunting only after the hunt. I up the food to the higher fat & protein during hunting season just like most but mine are couch potatoes when at home or during the off season so I don't need it year round.

I've did the raw diet on freezer burned food for two months and it's the best in regards to 1/2 the poop and a 1/3 of their water intake but it's a PITA when it comes to how easy kibble works.
