    Any recommendations for game cams

I've never owned one before but was thinking of throwing a few out. What's everybody using?

Two eyes and two feet in the field to scout and hunt is true hunting. Forget the tech toys and get out in the field.

Game cams are trashing good hunting spots. Too many folks put cams out and check them so often the area gets trampled and the game gets scared away.

      ^^^^ stay classy.

OP - you'll get a lot of different opinions. Mine is to get the cheapest you can find, especially if you're putting them out in public land. Nobody needs color and 14 megapixels in my opinion. As long as it has a time and date stamp and I can make out horns it's good enough for me.

I have 5 of these, the biggest problem is bears like to screw with them for some reason, several times they've been torn off trees and ended up under the snow all winter, very durable though, they still work great, I leave them out year around, with lithium batteries and an SD card you'll have about $200 into it, the learning curve is how to position the cameras so other crap doesn't set them off, like blowing leaves or branches, or facing it into the rising or setting sun etc..

I bought a few off of eBay called wildlife innovations they are cheap like 40.00 but they work good and in case someone steals one you will not be out much.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

I have two of the bushnell trophy cams. Very pleased with them. Other ones I own I wouldn't recommend.

I just picked up a package deal of two Moultrie A7-I cameras with lock boxes and as cards for 118 bucks off amazon. They're only 6mp but I'm just looking for activity and not trophys, plus they'll be in public hi risk areas so I didn't want too much of investment for some other douche looser hunter.
I'll post at the end of the AZ elk season how they work out.
We'll just give them the 'ol number 6.

I use a Stealth Cam G42NG. It's simple to set up and takes great photos.
