    Breathable Waders

I just ordered these waders. I figured for $100 they have to be better than the 5MM neoprene waders I wear to the Salton Sea. Anybody on here ever wear them?

If you've been wearing 5mm you will think you've died and gone to heaven with breathables.

Herters is one of Cabelas brands. They'll be fine.

Update: I hunted San Jacinto in them yesterday. I stayed dry from both the pond water and my sweat. I have never been so cool in a pair of waders. One complaint is that I wish it had the pocket in the front like my neoprene waders. Other than that, they are worth every penny. Time will tell how they hold up long term.

The deal is still available if anyone needs waders.

That's a great deal! Breathables are the only way to go! You will love them! And they seem to last longer than neoprenes!

If you hunt a lot, you will only be able to use them for two seasons before they start leaking. Im trying to get a 3rd year out of my Cabela's breathables, but leaks keep appearing after each hunt. I just put aqua seal on a couple holes to try an buy more time. No matter what kind of wader you use, they just don't hold up for more than a couple of years.

I guess I'm lucky. I'm on my 6th year on a pair of Cabelas breathables with no issues. They'll get retired this year because I've used them so much the lugs on the boots are almost gone.

My Cabelas breathables have been great!
                Thank you,

                Doc.

Is that based on wear and tear from poking sticks and other stuff, or just the taping/seals at the seams breaking from movement/use?
