I've never been there but YouTube has a few videos that will give you an idea of what to expect.

I think you can just walk up to a pig at a feeding trough and shoot him behind the ear. No need to wear camo or sneak around.

They have wild pigs and tame pigs pick your shoot or go hog wild and hike the steep hills and find the ones that are a hunt.

It is what you make of it.....

I have been there 3 times and this is really truly how it is like literally a petting zoo except you get the chance to shoot an animal kind of messed up but you can make it fun if you pretend you can't just walk up to the pig and pat it on its head. What I did was take my 3006 and go prone up on a hillside 0 in for about 300 yards and take a good shot you have to make it fun for yourself or like the other poster said walk right up to it take your 357 Magnum and shoot it in the back of the head. Whatever you do do not and I repeat do not use their taxidermist if they ask you about it my father got ripped off thousands of dollars from there suppose it in house taxidermist called Kodiak taxidermist took our money the amount that had everything and move to Utah along with a bunch of other people's money personally because of that I will never go there again. At the time they claimed that the owner of big horn was also partner of the taxidermist however now that the money's been stolen they're saying they were just a referral service for the taxidermist we're planning on filing charges

we never had the problems in CA till the whiteys took over. We used to hunt, fish, roam, then they showed up and wanted to be civilized.............Ruined it for everyone!

Do a search. Pretty sure we've talked about Big Horn several times. They do have domestic type pigs which are just meat; no sport in hunting them.

We went after russian boars and they were pretty smart and took us several hours to track down and take. And with the steep terrain, a few hours is about all you want to walk.

For a really sporting, hard work, and great learning experience first hunt, check out Boaring Experiences based up in Atascadero/Paso Robles/Parkfield area. It is fair chase hunting, lots of glassing and some stalking, and the hogs are the real deal.

A co-worker did hunt Big Canyon and he reported having a good time, and noted the challenge was limited. He did say he'd do it again to fill his freezer.

Young fella up the street went there a few yrs ago. Came home with a goat. Still had part of an ID tag in its ear.

Not anymore a hunt, than catching fish at a trout farm is "fishing".

They buy farm animals and turn them loose to be shot.
