1st day at sunrise ran across three cows but they winded us. Then nothing till today. My buddy ran into a group of about 10 cows this morning and I ran into a group of about twelve elk this evening. Different spots too.

I have first hand knowledge that I just made up that Waterfern killed his bull with only his foldout boy scout pocket knife. Now that's amazing! Me, I'll stick with my 30.06 and 7mm--08!

Nice Waterfern! My buddies got skunked on elk, only saw some deer. Said it was in the upper 70's and 80's where they were hunting.

Looking forward to pics and the story!
Its an expensive hobby, but more expensive when you try and convince yourself you don't need what you really want.

Good luck guys and congrats to those who've scored! If anyone needs anything, I live in Montrose now and am a mechanic at the Chevy dealer in Delta, CO.
