Slow Saturday with lots of shooting around me, but not me. Camp got blown out Saturday night with high winds, rain and thunder. Wind tore the tent stakes right out of the ground. Ended up at a Super 8 in Susanville. Then later that night got a call frm home. Family emergency and had to head home Sunday morning. All in all not what I had hoped for. Will give it another shot in a few weeks. Litter of puppies due this Friday so no hunting this coming weekend.

I remember when one of our hunting party members drove all the way home from Colorado because the water heater broke and his wife didn't want to deal with it.
He was back in camp 48 hours later.

Different kind of family emergency.....I wish I could share more but it isn't appropriate at this time. Needless to say, besides the family situation, everything got soaked. I'll be back up there in two weeks.Comment

X6a ends October 18th! Man we need some real weather up there. Saw 60-70 does and yearlings. Only a few small ones with any bone.Comment
