It always seemed so much bigger to me as it ran behind the house up on the hill. I took the wife and kids up there to see the place last year and saw the small canal. I don't think its more then 2-3 feet across If you lived in town your parents probably knew my parents. My mom was diagnosed with MS in 64 and I think we left in 65.

The only family friends that I recall were the Hempkie (sp?) family.

I always liked the red dirt water you would get after a good rain. Do they still use the ditch water for the town water system?

Do a lot of scouting before you actually hunt. It will save you trespassing in someone's yard or garden. Most of the folks are friendly, but occasionally when it's quiet you can hear the banjos.
