Hmmm weird. Wasnt their a member on here that got banned that lived in those same areas? Anyone know what happened to him? Wasnt he going to open a gun shop or something?
LoL I noticed the same and figured it was him too. He was on here way too much to simply move on.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Lol, I was waiting for this whole thing to go sideways. Taperxz running a gun store is a recipe for disaster. Even managed to screw up his own stores opening day.

I like how the only Google review the store has is from the ASD guy in this thread who also happens to be an employee of the store, lol. Nothing like posting positive reviews of yourself on the Internet.

The only a few things I can add. A winner was picked and he's contacted me for the guided hunt. I just need to call him back because I've been hunting all weekend. Other than that, I think people may have been confused about wether they needed to be present to win. That was not the case. You simply needed to purchase the ticket at the store. After all it was a grand opening and the whole point was to get people in the door.

I offered this hunt through the store because ive met the owner, taken him on a hog hunt, made friends with him and support his efforts to open up a gun store.

I've been on calguns for quite a while. I've come to know quite a few of you here personally. In all that time I believe I've gotten a reputation for being honest and helpful. I certainly appreciate all the business and references over the years. With that said, some seem to think that something underhanded has taken place with this raffle or feel they need to insinuate that something is not legitimate. "Taperxz", (ex member of the site) the owner of the store was not the most popular member here. While I took his posts as humor and sarcasm, some did not. Let's face it, many thought he was a royal pain. But up until now I don't recall anyone saying he was not honest. If anything his sometimes brutal honesty was his downfall in here. Let me just say that I would not be involved in anything underhanded and nothing underhanded took place. I don't regret being a part of this raffle and I would do it again. If you disliked taperxz I can understand it. If you believe he acted dishonestly in his raffle then you must believe I am acting dishonest as well. If you feel you need any clarifications about this raffle feel free to pm me or call me directly if you like.

Lastly, congratulations to the winner of the rifle and hog hunt. Come spring we're gonna turn the green grass red!

Problem is when you run a raffle there are specific starting and ending times . This is not something you can change because more people keep on coming in the door . You advertise a start finish and when a winner will be drawn then that's it not something you can change that's down right shady.

Posting in this thread under a fake account and then lieing about it isnt very honest lol.

This is a strange deal! The few drawings/ raffles ive been to were all done as part of the event. Drawing names and giving things away is part of the excitement, gets people in a happy buying mood. Having a drawing in private days later seems odd. But then again I dont the rules or laws for these things. I didnt even know you could legaly have one where you were selling tickets all the ones ive seen were non profit, or straight give aways.

I wouldn't disagree with that. Let me ask you, did you stay till the end when the drawing was supposed to take place? I wasn't there. If the store was empty at closing what difference would it have made though? They would have pulled the ticket with an empty store either way. You would have never known the difference. The only reason you know is because they were honest enough to tell you! Mabye the store was full at the end. Like I said I wasn't there. If the store was full of people at closing with people lined up to fill out DROS papers I could see how getting those done could make the drawing take a back burner. Especially if none of those people bought a raffle ticket. If there was one single ticket holder waiting for that drawing at the end and they told me they were gonna do it later I would be a little pissed off. Did anyone here wait until the end and they told them they were gonna do it later?
I think most of this is really petty. People really disliked taperxz. I get it. He was a real ***** sometimes. Hate him for that. Nobody was cheated. Bottom line, they TOLD everyone they changed it/screwed up/forgot whatever. Had they lied about it, then that's a different story.

                              It was obviously fixed !!

(I know this because I didn't win. Of course I didn't buy a ticket, but still)

I can state that I was there the afternoon and that place was dead. Other than our group. There were only a couple of other folks in there. My buddy was one of the last to leave if not the last. We even hung out outside by the so called BBQ. all this talk about them being busy at the end of the day is false by my experience unless I was at the wrong shop! Or just lost my mind.
