    Next Trip, Denver CO

    Hi All,

OK looking for advice on places to stop/camp from San Jose, CA to Denver, CO. Not sure which route to take yet, but I'd prefer the scenic route over the easy route.

Rather not drive more than 6-7 hours a day, so it should take 4 days to get there.

Time frame is probably mid August. Would like to get some shooting in and a nice outdoor place for my dog to run around at each stop.

    Thanks

I recommend driving through Las Vegas and enter Utah from the south. Visit all the national parks in southern Utah. Zion, Bryce, Grand staircase, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches National Parks. Then take the I25 to Denver.

    Stunning vistas.

I agree with OnTheTrail...both on route and on the suggested stops. If you can swing any/all of the above, do it! My favorite was Zion, and if I could only visit one place on that list, especially for a drive-thru visit, that would be it.
