Does anyone know of a reliable and durable wrist compass? Google shows limited results. It would be used for quick and frequent reference while hiking.

Casio Mudman is pretty cool but probably not what you are asking about. -

Wrist compasses are just "okay." If your hiking, I recommend a regular Cammenga lensatic military compass or a Suunto compass. Avoid Silva brand compasses altogether because they are crap. I did a write up on the Silvas here and you might find it with the search feature.sigpic

I would suggest a regular compass and a long enough lanyard.Kemasa.

Wrist compass?
I have had mine for like a decade+. It's durable and it works perfectly.
If you need a wrist compass, for simply a general reference, check this one out:
I use Cammenga for my compasses, and I have ever since I was a Marine Infantry Scout. Some people prefer Suunto. To each their own. But, Cammenga has never failed me. Take that for what it is. I hope that suggestion is useful. Cheers! --1911ShooterPhil"A gun is a tool. No better and no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel, or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it.
