Saw two deer early monday morn

    (I know it's a bit late - didn't have a chance to post it)
But where I saw them was a bit of surprise!

(Corner of Holly Leaf Lane and Mission Blvd in Union City)
It was early Monday morn (about 5:30AM) I was out for my morning and when I come around a corner, when I looked up and TWO ADULT DEER were mere feet from me - I was half asleep but woke up rather quickly!
I think both of us were shocked for we stood a stared at each for a few seconds. Although it was early in the morning however cars are using the road I didn't want them to suddenly run out in the road and get hit.
I slowly took a few steps back and waited for the traffic to clear, when it did I chased the across the road. Hopefully they won't be back any time soon!
There is deer in the area in fact I see them all the time across the road (where there are several fields). The lack of green stuff in their area must be driving them across the road.
I have lived in the area several years and have run that route dozens of time and that is the first time I have seen deer on that side of the road!

They're all over the foothills. You can always see a few at the 2 cemetaries on Mission. By bud lives above Cal-State, they have them as pets. PAX
