    sheep mountain wilderness hike

Has anybody hiked through these parts. More specifically past Bridge to nowhere. I plan on doing a 3 day from Vincent gap to bridge to nowhere/east fork. I got the blm map, which is cool. But I'm curious about the remoteness of this area. Is the trail washed out like the way up to the bridge? I've been before. I'm going to start from Vincent btw. Pretty straight forward thought follow the water down. Taking the 12and some tackle. I got both license and I'm aware of the reg's, permits, etc.

Insight from those who have been; would awesome. Thanks all.

I've never been up in the gorge, but I was at the Bridge a couple weeks ago and the trail up to that point is the best I've ever seen it, I guess because of the relatively dry last couple of years.

So maybe passage through the gorge won't be so bad. Water level is definitely low.

I did the hike a few years ago
Parked at Vincent gap and hiked down to second car in Azusa
No trail in river , slow going cuz boulder hoping
Didn't see a soul for 2 days till we stumbled on some gold miners
Lots of people once you get to bridge
      Great hike !!

Thanks for the insight. Sounds very promising. 3 days is more then enough. I'll try to follow up as well

I've hiked it several times. Many people don't know this, but there is a plane wreckage spot nearby. It's still there to this day and has been there for probably 35+ years. Just don't get frickn lost up there! (Because I'm one of the guys that gets called sometimes for lost people up there that didn't properly prepare!). There's nothing worse than some idiot that didn't prepare properly, nor left exact details with a trusted individual, giving an itinerary. It's extremely hot hot hot up there now too! Little to no water anywhere north of the B2NW, so don't rely on catching fish for meals.
