    Hello all,
Thinki g of going camping with a few friends who have never camped, its up to me to do the planning. Im thinking somewhere near paso robles or santa barbara would be nice, i would like to do some shooting if possible as well. Any recomendations will be greatly appriciated, thanks.

I would go to El Capitan or Gaviota State beach in Santa Barbara. Nice, clean, on the coast.

Nacimiento has a little water. There are several campgrounds, one walking distance to the water. They also allow camping right on the beach. No shooting though, except on memorial day weekend.

Most of the "popular" spots are booked this time of year.

The state park in morro bay is nice, and there is shooting nearby.

Lake Cachuma has nice campgrounds and Winchester Gun Club is very close.
