Leather Knife Sheaths, were to find

Looking for a leather knife sheath for a bushcraft-type tool. Surprised the sheath could cost as much as the knife!

Quality/well made, will hold up to camping/hiking use and not cost an arm and a leg, if that's the case I will not be able to use it.

Where are you located? I met a leather crafter through my local range here in San Francisco East Bay and he made me some nice wrap/sheath for my tomahawk. He also does knife sheaths.

Make your own. It's not that hard. This was my first attempt and I think it turned out great. See if there's a tandy leather in your area.

Tandy Leather Factory stores will sometimes do classes. I took one a while back for knife sheath making. It was $45 but that included all the materials. Really helps to get to know the tools and how to use them, plus there's more to leather than just a piece of cow skin.
