    This cracked me up

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

There's a much larger point associated with this than simply sticking it to the man with his own schtick.

They've served as a camel's nose under the tent for the environmental lobby to negatively impact a good many things...

...Numerous factors, separately and in combination, have contributed to the species' decline. Introduction of non-native fishes, pesticides, ultraviolet radiation, pathogens, acidification from atmospheric deposition, nitrate deposition, livestock grazing, recreational activities, and drought have all been identified as potential factors impacting this species and its habitat...
That list doesn't include things such as wildfires and habitat conversion, but it does provide a 'target list' in terms of what is demanded of Government agencies. Some fish species have been eradicated in certain areas as 'non-native,' despite having become 'native' over the last 150 years or so and that's assuming the 'pioneer journals' which 'don't mention them' are even accurate. (Well... Okay. Brown Trout were brought from Europe and Brook Trout weren't native to the West.) Ranchers have been denied access to traditional, summer grazing areas. Backpacking has been curtailed in some areas. Yet, it has been shown that...

...Scientists attribute much of the population collapse to chytridiomycosis, a deadly fungal disease that has impacted animal populations worldwide...
In short, the list of 'numerous factors' which has allowed for agenda are 'contributing,' but ancillary factors. They are not necessarily primary or even causative factors. Yet, they are what get the press and political attention.

So... Using them to highlight some of the problems of overregulation is 'fair game.'
