So last year I was lucky enough to get a last minute permit to climb Half Dome in Yosemite. I've always wanted to do this hike when I was younger but life got in the way. So I jumped on the opportunity, had 2 weeks to train, and did the hike. I spaced it out to 2 days because I wasn't really in the shape to do this hike in 1 day (16 miles round trip up hill all the way lol). I backpacked to and hammock camped at Little Yosemite Valley before climbing Half Dome the next day. It was quite an experience. I'm not really a videographer but I recorded the trip on my cell phone. BTW, if you haven't tried hammock camping you should It's so much easier on your back. lol

For all of us who will never for one reason or another be able to make that trek, thank you for your personal experienced Half Dome documentary.👍 1Comment

Nice job with the video! Camping at Little Yosemite Valley makes it a much more enjoyable trip. I got drawn for a permit in 2022, hiked the Mist trail on my way up and the JMT on my way down. Wish I’d stayed an extra day and hiked to Cloud’s Rest. When the battle drum beats, it is too late to sharpen your sword."

Great video!!! I never made to Half Dome but I've been to the top of Vernal Falls a few times, slid and swam in Emerald Pool. One time the Mist Trail section had to be negotiated by crawling because there was a stream running down the steps and you didn't dare stand. PAXYou need a crew

They were doing maintenance on the Mist Trail when I was there. It's suppose to make the trail safer by making it a bit wider."When chosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before." - Mae WestComment
