Pack Discuss/Picture Thread! Into Packs, let's Talk!

Anyone else just into packs for some reason? I have several currently and am always rotating new ones in. Mostly used for camping, and carrying stuff while riding my motorcycle.

    Currently Have:
Blackwater 3 Day with Alice Frame, & Blackwater Duffle
Camelback: BFM, Motherlode, & Two Talon
    Eagle Patrol
    Eberlestock Gunner
    Hill People Gear Tarahumara
    TAG Sniper
    USMC Deployment Bag
    Various other cheapie packs

I haven't setup a bugout bag since I plan on bugging in for most scenarios.

My favorite packs are typically the Day to 2 day size packs. Currently rock one of my Talons most often. I used my Eagle Patrol for several years as my primary pack as well. The talon excels in versatility because of the flap with strpas, you can use it for all kinds of stuff! And it has various pockets inside the pockets for easy organization of whatever you need to carry.

Nice! I knew I couldn't be the only one haha. There's a Kuiu store not too far from me, I've been meaning to stop by and check it out. No experience with Kelty so far, but have heard many good things

Recently snagged a Camelbak HAWG for an EDC pack, so far I'm diggin it! Been using my Camelbak Talon and Eagle Patrol pack for many years. time to try something new. I got the Hill People Gear Tarahumara, which is an awesome small pack, but the shoulder harness system is a bit cumbersome for such a small EDC pack. Out patrolling sure, but in town not so much.

This hoy weather makes me regret trading off my eberlestock X2 pack. The cooling lattice they have for your back is amazing

              Maxpedition.
I pack the same stuff each and every day, no matter if I'm going into town, hiking/camping or flying to the EU.

Nice! Which pack are you using? I see them for sale locally once in awhile. So far I haven't snagged one yet

Dakine Poacher 14L for backcountry snowboarding, to carry avalanche probe and shovel, drinks and a few PB&Js.

Matador Beast 18L for air travel "personal item." I fly on budget airlines that don't even include a carry-on anymore.

Osprey Kestrel 58L for backpacking which I still have never done. So far, I'm just putting 50 lbs of sandbags in it and "rucking" around my neighborhood.

I've been thinking about a kifaru for many years, I'd assume you like the quality and features?

I'm a Renegade Outfitter. From an old post:

Dug out most of the internal packs to pre-check before we head out starting this February. Someone posted up a while back wanting to see some backpacks. Here's some of mine. Northface Renegade (Dana Designs Terraplane copy), Kelty Coyote 4750, Jansport Redline 45, Mt. Hardware Exodus (X2 one's hiding), Gregeory (another Terraplane style), Osprey Aether 70, stack of day packs, Jansport Sortie 38 (X2), Mountain Smith Crosscountry II, Northface Terra 50. Couple expedition sizes added since this picture. Also have half a dozen Camelbacs in various sizes

The external frames, crappy old pics, I've added a couple different Jansports since. I also have enough tents to shelter 42 bodies (1s, 2s, 3s, 5, and 8), mess kits and an SKS with bandoleers for each pack (if/when needed), 4 Coleman 2 burners, a 3 burner and oven, 8 single stoves (MSRs, Coleman Apexs, others). I've modded the external frames (where needed) for excellent carry on tail. OK for short off trail work in light brush.

Most all bought second hand, some were never used or only used once. I pick up all the decent gear I come across. Since '04 I've put at least 36 rookies on the trail. I have a crew and we can throw down. PAX

                              You need a crew
