I've read a million posts about BOBs but what about those who will Bug In? As of now I think bugging in would be better (for me) then bugging out. I really have no place to go and I'm not Eli to be roaming the wasteland. What are good bugging in supplies (minus water and guns cuz I got that).

I wouldn't considering using a 'bag' for bugging in, as most people would just hunker down in their homes.
That said, you can never have enough water as that's one of the primary things you should have available. Those 55 gal containers work great if you have the space.
Of course guns & ammo are nice, but it may not be a high necessity as other things such as stocking up on non-perishable foods, gasoline if you have a generator, propane, batteries (rechargeable and alkalines), basic supplies that you may use for camping, etc.
The list is pretty much endless, but it's always good to hear what others may also add to it. -
Canned food, rice, pancake/biscuit mix, noodles/pasta, jar food, frozen foods, ice, batteries, a secondary cooking method (propane BBQ), fuel, flashlights, water, water, water, generator and fuel, blankets, electric fan, reading material, etc.
As far as the frozen stuff goes, it'll keep for at least a few day if you keep the freezer door shut, but you'll need to eat it first. Move what you're going to eat from the freezer to the fridge to thaw to keep the fridge cold. If you have a generator, you only need to run your fridge/freezer a few hours a day to keep cold.
Remember, you can store water in the bathtub if you think to do so before the water system fails. It should hold 40 - 50 gallons. It's still smart to have the same amount, or more, in jugs for drinking and cooking. Plus, you've got 40 gallons or so in your water heater.Last edited by NotEnufGarage; 04-01-2012, 2:10 AM.sigpic
