I just came back from Home Depot, and they got a really good deal on a led lantern. Original price was 19.99, and they're. Om sale for 4.87. The use 4, D batteries they give out 200 lumens of light. I picked up 4, one for work and the rest for the house. Check your local H.D

Coleman L.E.D Lantern @ H.D

Got a pic or part number that we can look up online? I didn't see anything on HD's website for $19.
I just wanted to see the specs on how it compares to the Coleman LED lantern I picked up from Costco a couple of months ago (same as this one), as I would like to pick another one or two up. I paid $29 for it at Costco and it uses 8 D batteries, and lasts for 32 hrs @ 200 lumens or 66 hrs @ 100 lumens.... which I can't honestly tell the difference in brightness between the 2 modes. I'd much rather have a lighter 4 D battery 200 lumen lantern. -
Brand name - model - picture or SKU number? ThnxsigpicComment

Same blue "Coleman LED" box that I have with similar specs, only that mine looks a bit bigger from the image on the box. Still, if it's 200 lumen and only uses 4 D batteries, I definitely want to pick up a few.
Can you provide us with the SKU from you receipt so I can look up the HD's in my area to make sure they have them in stock?
From my experience with these Coleman LED lanterns, it worked great inside the house in larger rooms when we lost power... perfect for inside the home use IMO. However, if you plan on using one for camping outside, then it'll still work fine but a propane lantern will be much much brighter than the Coleman LED.Comment

LED is great for clean lighting. if you want really bright light then a propane lantern is better. I run both depending on the situation.
I recently got one of these, runs off of 4 AAs
the D batteries should last a while though.
Battery life: Up to 15 hours on high setting, up to 60 hours on low
Maximum light output: 80 lumens
Minimum light output: 10 lumens
Weight: 7.8 ounces (without batteries)
