any longer term rv parks in san diego??

may be heading to miramar air base for a special project and it is a 172 mile a day drive,i have a toyhualer and could take it down to san diego for use during week..

I see a lot of the same RV's parked at Fiesta Island a lot. Not sure how legal it is, but I'm pretty sure a few folks live their.
Technically they are supposed to lock the Island Gate at night, but most of the time I have been there they do not.

There are no facilities however so depending on your rigs capabilities you might want a more plug in affair with less traffic.

There are several cleanout stations within a half mile of the Island in either direction. One to the South between Fiesta Island and Sea World in a boat launch (also has sinks and bathrooms), and the other in the other direction to the North (on the same frontage as the Island entrance) at the Visitors Center just past the Hotels.

It's not a solution for leaving your RV alone all day. But if you intend to drive it to Miramar from San Diego and just for a few days, it might be a cheap solution for ya.

Otherwise I'm sure a google search will give you lots of paying options such as Mission Bay RV Resort and Campland on the Bay, coincidentally both across from the Island I am talking about.

There is long term rv parks down by Pacific Beach. This would put you about ten minutes from Miramar. In fact there is a big one off of the 5 by PB that is pretty clean.

I lived at one in Oceanside off PCH ( used to be called Hill st) and oceanside blvd. I believe the name was Casitas Paquitas it ight next to the cemetary. That may be to far for you but thought I would thow it out there
