    lights

    Home Depot Deal

Not sure of the quality of these, but for $10, that's a good amount of lighting.

I am always afraid to buy flashlights that dont say how long the battery life is. In a SHTF situation, I dont want flashlights that eat batteries quickly. I would rather spend some more cash and get ones that use energy more efficiently. If you are looking for a bulk buy try this:
WTB:Old Video Games! Nintendo, Sega, Atari, etc consoles and games.
WTS: Several Neat and uncommon Mosins, Russian SKS, Oddball Mausers. PM for details
    Located in Norcal.

I've bought a ton of cheap tactical lights, and to be honest every one is setting in a junk drawer somewhere. Just never found one that was worth a damn. So I had been using maglights (the smaller ones) and have a ton of those.

I decided to buy a nice tactical light, but I couldn't spend too much money (all the ones that I liked were all upwards of $200).

But then I came across the 4Stevens Quark AA2 (takes 2 AAs).

I just bought this about a week ago and love it so far. And $60 was a reasonable price imo.

      here's the battery drain specs:
Moonlight: 0.2 lumens for 30 days
Low: 4 lumens for 5 days
Medium: 22 lumens for 24 hours
High: 85 lumens for 5 hours
Max: 205 lumens for 1.3 hours
Strobe: 205 lumens for 2.5 hours
Beacon: 0-205 lumens pulse for 18 hours

The moonlight would be good for camping and around the campsight. The Medium setting is about what I woudl expect out of a normal flashlight. The max is just crazy bright and I would really only use it to stun someone.

I use my maglights for pretty much every normal use, but this new light is really great for the price.

EDIT: you can only program 2 settings at a time in this flashlight, BUT it's easy to change and reprogram on the fly.

I'm not expecting these lights to act in a true tactical capacity, but 3 LED flashlights & 2 LED headlamps for $10 is a good deal.
Several months ago I bought a 3 pack of LED lights from Sam's Club, I think they were $27.99 or something like that. The lights have 3 settings, low/high/strobe. The low setting is enough for me to scan the hill behind my house and see clearly, the high setting is blinding, and the strobe is ridiculously disorientating.

Are these "Moonlights" made in China?

Are you asking about the 4Stevens?

If so, the battery specs I listed are all from the one flashlight and moonlight is one of the modes.

The company is in GA but the light is most likely manufactured elsewhere.

A junk light wont be much use in shtf.

This is my next light. 460 lumens and the size of a chapstick. Goes down to 1 lumen for super firefly mode. Awesome little light.

fenix and 4seven are my favorite lights.

I picked up a pack of these.
The red LEDs on the headlights only go into flashing mode... kind of useless IMO. The hand held are handy but really thin tubing on the body. Might gvie them to my young nephews when were camping.

Besides my 3 beam hunting flashlight the only flashlight I'll buy is a Maglite.

Rugged as hell and work every time!
