I'm partial to the sierra zip stove or the wood gas stoves that you can buy or make out of coffee cans. they burn anything flammable like wood and paper which should be plentiful in times of emergency.
the other choice for compact emergency stove could be a liquid fuel stove like a Primus or Optimus Omnifuel stove which can burn just about any petroleum product.Comment
