The Rocket Stove - Third World Solutions for Prepping, part deux

Ok, as promised here is part two of my "Cool stuff they have invented to help third world nations but can be used for prepping as well" series. And yes, I need to work on the title.

This has probably been discussed before but still, I give you... The Rocket Stove! This design has been used to make everything from small stoves up to water heaters and mass heaters for the entire home. It uses the convection principle to allow a very small amount of fuel to create a much larger then normal amount of heat.

The benefits for this are quite a few. It's very easy to make. It uses very little fuel. It is easy to control the heat. It can be scaled up or down and can be transported.

Here is the Wikipedia on it

I like this design. Bought one at honeyville farms awhile ago. Ill post some pics when I get home. It cooks great with twigs, the old Christmas tree limbs, or scrap lumber.

Production quality is lacking but I think these guys do a good job explaining the rocket stove

That reminds me of a little "mini" camp stove I made for backpacking a long time ago.

Nice video and I really like the water canister that they sell with it but good grief, maybe i'm just too cheap, but as simple as these things are I think they should be selling for a good bit less.
