I wasnt impressed with Major surplus. It was typical overpriced chinese junk. The store was very expensive and the stocked items were not what I need.

Stick with Mormon and HV. Bulk and cheap. JMO

Survival products & emergency preparedness kits. 1000's of survival products - #1 source for survival, safety, knowledge & emergency preparedness since 1989.

I've only been once to buy a water barrel for storage, but its not a bad place. Store front is kinda small, but they have a larger section set aside for warehouse storage so you can ask them for anything you don't see in store but is in their catalog

I just wish there was an HV close to SF Bay Area.
CalGuns Network (CGN) is different from CalGuns Foundation (CGF). Both need our support. I have gold name because I support CGN; plus, I send $10 every two weeks to CGF automatically via online BillPay as described here.

Support CGF by shopping at Amazon!

If I still lived in the Bay Area and was looking to start another business, I'd look into getting a franchise or opening my own copy cat store. Seems like it would be a sure money maker.

Redwood trading post in redwood city has water storage and some prepackaged earthquake and car kits. They don't have a good website and no one seems to know they have those things.

I am still in disbelief of how many people have kids and couldn't make it a day or two without food or water. I asked a guy I know with a wife and four kids, what would happen if his water main to his area broke in an earthquake and was down for just a couple days. He had no real answer and if his wife even heard us talk about that she would kick me out of the house.
