Just got my Natchez Catalog today.

LOL at the back page:
5.56 62 grain green tip: 12,500 round in drum, only 3806.25 or about 31 cents a round.

Not bad really. Drum looks to be a sealed type so good for storage in case TSHTF. Buy several and you equip your entire survival group with plenty of ammo.

I have a hard time understanding needing THAT much in bulk but I don't have a semi-auto. How long would 12.5K rounds last, reasonably?


Ideally you wouldn't be moving the ammo but using it for a "town" arsenal supply. Group buy 4 or 5 of those buggers and you can equip an army.

Could actually see some law enforcement agencies buying that for bulk stock and practice. How long would it last? Hmm....I normally go through about 200 to 300 rounds in what I call a "serious" practice so 12,500 rounds if I upped it to 375 rounds a shoot - would be 33x and that means about 11 years.

I know my personal stocks of ammo are well below many other "preppers" as I feel what I have will suffice my needs.....if I were to run out it just means God made too many rattle snakes for me

Those would be good to purchase and store in your survival retreat-where ever that may be. It isn't good for mobility though. I read somewhere else that 1,000 rounds of 5.56 weighs about 30 LBS so it'll be a ***ch to move.
