got to love old coleman camp stoves ...

i picked up a very well used Coleman 415c (1947-49 production years) at a yard sale this weekend for a whopping 3 bucks, the guy told me it had been in his garage for over 10 years unused .... well i could hear that there was still some kind of fluid in the tank, but could not drain it (round tank has the fill cap where you cant drain it all out) so i said wtf try to get it to pump and light , it took a lil bit of working the pump at first but finally started to build pressure turned on the valves and sparked the bic... what do you know a working 2 burner stove from the late '40's with 10 y/o fuel for 3 bucks to toss in the back of the 4X4 .. its beat up but still functions great so will get the rust and grease off it paint it up with some BBQ paint and will be good to go

got to love old stuff that was built to last, not be garbage after a few uses ....

Old Coleman stuff is bomb proof. The new stuff is flimsy but functional. I love the old stoves and lanterns, absolutely dependable!

I had one just like it, bought in the 60's.

In the 80's I bought a propane kit for it, got tired of the gas issue.

got some of the newer stuff. I think the metal is a bit thinner but still a quality product. I love my stove and lanterns. Used the lantern during the recent power outage. Filled up the tank and pumped it up. Burned forever it seemed like on one good pump up. I like the ability to use gas or white gas unlike the old stuff.
Pumps are quick and easy to replace and have two spares for each unitl just in case.

Mines a lot newer then that but it had only been used a time or two and I thought I was lucky to pay $20.00 for it.
                        $3 is a hell of a deal.

They still sell that one but it's not the same. I had one of the older ones and it kept ice for about a week, the thing was awesome!!

I have a coleman 2 burner I have had for 25 years. I found it again in the garage. I have bought a smaller stove and forgot about it. 15 year old fuel and it fired right up. It has some dents in it but still works
