    Cheaper than liquid paraffin?

I'm looking for a cheaper version of liquid paraffin. Someone on OCAS said there is something that burns just about as clean, but at less cost. I cant remember what it was.
    Any ideas????
I use it in my old time oil lamps as well as these....

I figure as much wine as the wife and I drink, these things at $2.00 each make cheap oil lamps...I just want to spend less on the oil!

You could save your pennies and just buy a couple of feet of cotton rope at your local hardware store with the same result.

I buy whatever flavor (i.e. paraffin or petroleum based or whatever) type of "lamp oil" that walmart or my local hardware store sells. Not exactly cheap though.

And you can burn vegetable oil in your home made bottle lamps too, but it's not clean.

Check this link for how to make your own liquid paraffin.

Also known as mineral oil, liquid paraffin serves as an evenly burning oil for lanterns and oil lamps. Knowing how to make your own liquid paraffin for an oil lamp provides you with an easy craft endeavor that results in illumination and warmth.
