Big congrats man. That is a serious accomplishment! My wife is pretty much on board as long as she doesn't have to break a nail...

Good job bringing the wife on board! Mines been on board since day one, only problem is, neither of us is really good at the whole farming aspect, so weve have 2 failed gardens so far. Im not too worried since I didnt use any of the heirloom seeds yet, but apparently both of us have a lot more reading to do on the subject!

My husband was not on board at all when I started prepping over a year and a half ago. He finally told me to stop telling my girlfriends as they stopped coming over to the house to see me and think I am kind of nuts. He is now on board and so are my kids. I guess he realized that he better join me as once I get my mind made up that is it and plus if something does happen he doesn't want to hear me say "I told you so". It is so much better that we can now prep as a team and a family.

My wife just got home from a week long conference in Fresno. 10 minutes into the conversation I start talking about the recent big earthquakes in Chile, New Zealand, Japan, Alaska, and then said that CA is probably next. She gets really serious and says "we need to get our emergency stuff together this weekend. I'll put it on the credit card if I have to..."

Then I start reading this thread.

              I am not alone....

....which reminds me, I once saw a multipage Excel document on a thread that lists everything a person would need. Multi colored pages if I remember correctly.

                Anyone have a link?

My Wife went to Front Sight with her GF on their own and came home and went out and bought her own Glock 17, spare mags and 1000 rounds of ammo. Already had the garden and pantry and all. She just asked if I could start filling the 55s with fuel again and she ordered a Honda EU6500. God I love her.

Mine thought I was crazy till I saved our food when the power went out for a week. Get a generator and keep it and extra fuel handy.
