    La Jolla is always fun.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Laguna Mountains are cool. Also some of the lakes around San Diego allow camping. Cuyamaca is nice, lots of game animals running around the park and easy hiking trails.

Just couple hours away you could be at Glamis, just bring a dirt bike or buggy. Theres old ghost mining towns in the mountains around there too.

I forget exactly but I think it was the Pauma Indian Reservation has a campground with a stream in it you can tube. They also have a bar onsite. Maybe Pala? It was kind of expensive though, I do remember that.

There's a couple campgrounds at Mt Palomar. Never camped there, but they look pretty nice

Campgrounds at Palomar are pretty nice. The observatory campground has a lot of amenities, but I think their water is down for some reason, so maybe not so much atm. The Laguna Campground in the same forest area is also pretty nice.

Not sure whether you are looking for an established campground or just camping in the backcountry, but both options are available in the Big Bear area. There are some nice campgrounds up there (Serrano right on the lake for one), or you can find some smaller and more remote campgrounds up in the hills north of the lake (Holcomb Valley isn't bad, and there are others), or there are about 20 or so yellow post sites scattered around the area where you can camp for free, first come first served.

Is there a place where we can camp and shoot also?

Cleveland Forest might be a good option. I stayed in the Blue Jay campground probably 10 years ago and it's good if you're looking for an improved campground. Probably a nice time of year to go too.
