I've had one for my '06 Power Wagon since '06. I looked at all of them and did not want something that had to be bolted to the truck. Nor did I want something that couldn't fold down or be completely removed in 5 minutes.

I spent last weekend sleeping in mine iat the Colinga range. It rained and I stayed warm and dry. Tonight I folded it down and loaded Lyte-'s quad in my bed. The versatility is what I wanted. If I had wanted a Suburban type vehicle, I would not have bought a truck.

this is what I'm talking about.
I like the idea of versatility.

          Caught my attention.

I used to go mud riding as a kid with my 1976 F100 pick-up. Found myself in a couple of these situations. I would wade through the water and look sad, all the guys would come pull me out.

Besides the versatility, it's about 1/2 the price of some of the other canvas shells. But, that was just a bonus for me. I was really after the easy on-off and folding features. I did see another brand that I really liked a few months ago. The owner said he got it through Cabela's or someplace like that. It was about the same price, had the same features and seemed a bit nicer than the softtopper. Unfortunately, since I already have one, I didn't pay too much attention to it and forgot the brand name.

Another thing, the customer service at softtopper is outstanding. My zippers both are broken (due to too much dust and grit). I didn't want to take the time and expense of sending it too them so, I just ordered two new zippers. They threw in enough thread for me to sew them on myself and after shipping, it came to around less than $10! I think, next year, I might order new windows and sew them on myself too.

If you really like canvas, have you considered going to a boat cover and metal shop sorta part DIY?
