      It will be interesting to do more research on Argentina. I do think we could suffer hyper inflation and monetary issues. But I agree with the skeptic this might cause an economic collapse, and serious survival issues outside the big cities.

      For example I know many people who are self reliant enough to fend off gangs of thugs in their neighborhood. I found my own two neighbors more then willing and able to help. My city has its own power sources, lots of back up supplies to keep wells going (city water) and we all know how important that would be. Even if the US Govt failed there is no reason my city would....its not even in debt (except to its retired employees - nother debate).

      I live in the Central Valley. We produce more food here then we eat. And that is another good thing.

      I'm not saying that it wouldn't be difficult if there was social unrest, but there is reason to believe our local infrastructure could go on and continue to provide us essential services.

      Reading the book "Crash Course" now. 1 gallon of gasoline does the work of 350 to 500 man hours. I'm thiking of that 55 gallon drum of back up fuel again.
