I'm all over the Spicer area. There's a ton of places around there to camp that you don't have to pay. I'm betting that the Spicer Road won't be open all the way to Spicer by Memorial. PAX

Anyone heading up there with kids? If I were to do something like this and leave my 4-going-on-24 year old at home, I wouldn't live to see the dawn subsequent to my return.

Milsap bar seems like a winner as I hear the fishing is wonderful. There is another route to little north fork that is easier I hear.

I can attest to the spicer area as being an excellent location as well, been up there many
times, so looking for something new.

Milsap Bar is a nice place. The good fishing is about a 1/2 mile or so downstream from the camground. It's a rough hike along the shore climbing over and down big boulders. Take a collapsable pole. The fish are smart though and I've found they won't bite on any fake baits. Nightcrawlers or crickets have worked best for me. No shooting in the canyon though.

What he said. Or camp at Twin Lakes or Buckeye campsites which are nearby. Great fishing there. The shooting range is free and has targets out to 500 yards if you know where to find them

You can also go to the hot springs if your down to soak in hot water flavored by the remnants of a hippie orgy.

Going to Rhino's is a must though. Get the Widowmaker pizza.
