anyone know of any good places to go out and do some legal shooting in the hills or mountains around Fresno California..just want to take out the guns and home defense shotguns and have some fun..not at the range..looking for legal spots only if any..

Sorry dude, couldn't help myself. I can't say specifically, but I'm pretty sure all the area from deer zone D7 south and west to the coast is in the condor lead free zone. Fresno is in the middle of it. I know there is BLM to the east but not the restrictions. Get a hold of CDFG and see what non hunting regs apply to shooting. Hope this helps to keep you out of some trouble. (Patch is on the wrong side, I'm a left eye blind guy) PAX

get a map from bureau of land management. they have topo maps of blm land that you can go shooting in, if its just plnking to easy. call them and ask maps are only 4bucksOfficer: "Soldier, do you have change for a dollar?"
Soldier: "Sure, buddy."
Officer: "That's no way to address an officer!
Now let's try it again!"
Officer: "Soldier. Do you have change for a dollar?"

Most likely no one will tell you their "plinking spot". I ve made mistakes telling people and they end up telling their friends and it became a trash zone. Last time I went, there were toilets, tv, bottles used as targets laying around every where. I just don't understand people who don't pick up after themselves.Comment
