If QQQ doesn't take you up on it then I'll wager you 500 rounds of 7.62x39 that the stock exchanges, water, power and Congress will still be running in October of 2011. If you are not at least 18 years of age by October and you win the bet then the ammo will have to go to your parent or legal guardian.

I did the math too and with the amount of stars I can see at midnight plus the sun being on my left side yesterday, shows that the end is going to happen so please buy all of your ammo and supplies from walmart so the stock goes up.

1 hung beef is say 600lbs.

4 person family, thats 150 days worth of food @ 1lb a day, and that is liberal.

"A team" say 20 people, thats 30 days worth of meat alone, and that is pretty liberal.

Deer 150 lbs live, 70 lbs hanging

                4 people 15 days approximately?

                "a team" of 20 2 or 3 days, MAX.

Then their is starches and potatoes,

a family of 4 say 2 potatoes a day thats close to 2800 potatoes a year to survive.

                "a team" of 20 20k potatoes?

Granted you need more than "meat and potatoes" but you can survive off them alone if necesarry, it will keep the scurvy away.

So, see why it would be vary hard to feed "a team". And on this team, someone has to lead it. What about clothing, and or shelter? Clothing wears out A LOT quicker when you are outside wearing it all day. How many of these people are going to know how to tan hides to make them into britches and shirts, and moccasins? Granted you should have enough hides with "a team". sickness is going to be a lot more prevalent with a lot of people together as opposed to your family.

Back to the meat, I dont know how much time most of you spend in rural areas, but dont expect to live on deer. Their arent any, making an educated guess, if people around here were to try to live on deer alone, their MIGHT be enough to last 2 weeks. Then what few their are would be completely gone. Their are pigs, but pigs dont hang well. Turkeys, a few. Quail, yes, a few. Rabbits, not many, gonna starve depending on those.

Ca just DOES NOT have the game numbers for everyone to survive on. And if you think "oh well, Ill just shoot someones cow." That idea is going to get you dead, and I mean quick. That would be a BAD idea.
Totally agree, no one has thought it out. I am lucky we have had our ranch for over 30 years and local people know us.

One reason I go to the old hardware store that dates back almost 100 years and not the big box store that moved in.

I was being sarcastic (should have typed it) I dont think the chances of this happening are enough for me to bet but my tin is on and watter is stored just like the rest of you. And under 18? what made you think im under 18?

I think the tall ceiling and the short pants in your avatar combined to give me a mistaken impression.
