Do you plan on hunting for food? I know my fat arse would suffer if I didn't have food for four days.

I tried that once. Luckily, the girlfriend brought canned food that I didn't know about. Otherwise my a..s would have suffered big time. And god knows what the girlfriend would have done to me if she didn't bring the canned food.

If you're going with other people, make sure you bring emergency food supplies. It's a big a....s desert. If you won't find anything, they will be only ones coming back.

Dang I am suffering just thinking about it. If I could do a few days out in the desert I would try to enjoy it.
Right now the desert is probably the easiest it could be so I don't think you will suffer to much. I lived in the Indio area for 25+ years so no sympathy from me with this time of year. Now if your talking July August then I would have to say your are crazy, but if all you want to do is test yourself then that's cool. Just be careful and good luck

Good advice for most. I grew up in the Desert so I know how cruel and unforgiving it can be, I do this all the time there are plenty of non game Animals and Birds that make great table fare. Water is plentiful if you know where to look or have already found it, the River is only 1-1.5hrs away plenty of fish if desperation set's in. The rich man could even jump on over to state line, should he choose dine fine or just give up..
