How is this protection? They weren't armed and they are living in a hostile enviroment.

Think Tears Of The Sun style uprising, thats kind of the mentality there. They are all about ethnic cleansing, the only question to them is which neighborhood/tribe/ethnic/religious/commercial/social group has upset them this week?

I remember back in 94 (was it?) they had one of their periodic blood-lettings in Africa and The L.A. Times showed a picture of several thousand dead folks lying in a field---the only people shown alive were two guys holding really beat-up FALs smoking cigarettes. What does that tell you?
