I have to say when I started this test I was highly dubious. I got the idea of trying the oil after reading the BCM torture test "filthy 14". I have a few dozen gun oils in my gun cleaning case and most are so-so with with one or two that are keepers. Having said that this new oil Slip 2000 EWL seems to be the real deal. Every other oil I have tried on my AR-10 BCG has burned or blown off. The Slip 2000 oil sticks and does not come off. The BCG is as wet with oil after shooting as it is after cleaning and the initial application. The bolt inside of the bolt carrier where the cam is located is wet even after firing 300 rounds. None of the other oils I have tried would stay on the bolt and bolt carrier group. It works as claimed which is something most gun oils do not do. Ar-10's are much harder on the BCg than an AR15. More gas more power I guess?
If you were to have one oil on your gun at the time of shtf this would be my oil of choice. I do not want to worry about the oil keeping the gun lubed during an extreme crisis or other such malady. JMO
