Carbine concealment in a survival/disaster type situation

I am currently building my B.O.B. and I decided that in any type of emergency/disaster situation I would also like to have a carbine by my side.
However, I am still looking for a suitable bag that doesn't draw attention or scream "I am carrying an AK 47" while walking with my family. It also has to provide fairly quick access.

I tried camping chair bags, but they printed. Baseball bags have a separate compartment for a baseball bat, which is great, but it is too short. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

I use a descrete carry bag. Split the upper/lower. Works great. Fits 1-2 mags with Molly for addons

navy p-coats work well it would really suck to have to put your upper and lower together in a flash

          DIfferent gun.

Keltec has a .223 carbine that runs on AR Mags.

Thing is gun folds in half which means in could be carried discreetly.

I would say be discreet. Unless it is absolute pandemonium, in which you should've already been out of the area, you don't want to stick out. Keep it accessible but it is not like you should be speeding down the road porcupined.

Wear it under your coat. Remember, You are bugging out. It dosent do you any good in a bag.

+1 here. Some even have shoulder straps and sling type straps so can have options.

Who are you trying to conceal it from?

The law - well they'll just grab all your stuff throw it in a dumpster and haul our a** into a FEMA compound like they did in New Orleans.

The bad guys - I can just see it a bunch of guys with tactical packs, molle gear out to wazoo carrying a guitar or violin case (if you have a 50 cal better use a cello case). I bet even the most wacked out gang banger going to make you.

If you are in a position where you need to run and need an ak then you'd better being carrying it cocked & locked and at ready.

Unless you need to defeat body armour why would you need a carbine for your purposes?
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.
