I've heard the same theory from a different source as well, albeit less reputable than the geologist posted in the OT area thread.
I can't see the video you posted, but I guess it's maybe the same since it mentions Saturday too.
The way I see it, as long as there is a possibility, even small, we might as well be prepared just in case. Like making sure nothing big and heavy is in a place where it might fall on you, prepare all the usual stuff, have food and water and first-aid stuff and all. The usual for any emergency, or just a bit more than normally.
If nothing happens, then great! Not much trouble to put the stuff back on the shelves.
But if it does end up happening, then at least we'll be ready.
